Well Everyone.... The Holidays are about here and I just wanted to take the time to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and to give an update to everyone. Kathy was moved to a care center for rehab. She had surgery yesterday again..but is getting better by the day. I did find a few churches here in Mn. that I went back to and begged and they provided a few gifts for Kathy's family. We did not get anything from this site or anyone on it....sad to say...not even just a card of thoughts. Take care everyone and have a great new year!

Dear Amy, There is United Way...you just dial 211 on any telephone and if they cannot assist you...they will know who can. Salvation Army has heat share...and they pay heating bills. I would also talk to your state welfare department. They should have resources in your area. My heart and prayers go out to you and your family. I being a survivor of a domestic abuse relationship...know it is hard.... be sure to tell....211 about the abuse....it may get you more resources not available to others. Best Wishes!

I just wanted to give an update. I am very angry and sadened with the information that I have been getting. It appears that there are several people..including many on this site that are pleading for holiday assistance that have already received...or soon to be receiving assistance from a holiday program...yet are signing up for multiple programs. We are interfacing and exchanging information with these agencies to prevent someone from requesting more than their share. I keep getting request from people to assist them and I have to decline assistance. I can not even get the assistance for the families I have already and I do not want to let anyone else down. I am still seeking assistance for my family. She is in a hospital and cannot get out to get anything. I thought I would write and update everyone. I am being contacted by many people asking for help for the holidays. I am sorry to report that I cannot find the assistance for the families that I have and I do not want to let anyone else down.I have tried many churches and busiensses and got no where. I do wish everyone a joyous holiday and may all your Christmas wishes come true.I did talk with Salvation Army. They are taking emergency registrations. You can also call 211 (united way) they are a great resource for just about anything you need. I am still praying for the aid for my families. They cannot get help like everyone else. I have read just about every request out here. United Way has the information to assist with just about anything you may need help with. IF they cannot help you they will direct you to who can. You may reach them by dialing ( 211 ) from your telephone. You have to show proof of the need...but if you are being honest that should not be a problem for you! Happy Holidays and God Bless!

I just wanted to place an update. I have found that there are many people ...including ones on this site that are requesting holiday assistance that have already recevied or soon to receive assistance from a program. It really angers me when people get greedy and flood programs with false information. I have received many reqests for assistance and have had to turn them away because I cannot get the help for the families that I am working with. We are interfacing with many organizations,counties and churches with requests for assistance to prevent someone from scamming or abusing the programs. My client is in a hospital bed...just off life support and cannot get help from any program...and there are people making mulitple requests. Shame on you! I need assistance for Kathy and her family. I will and can get you any information you need to show this is a ligit request. I just wanted to give an update. I am receiving many emails asking for assistance for the holidays. I am unable to assist anyone else...I can't even get the assistance for the families that I have. Help is available from Toys for Tots & Salvation Army.They said that they are taking emergency applications from people who need toys for their children. In my situation...these are families that cannot get help from these agencies and I pray someone will come forward to assist my families.

Dear Lynn2, My heart goes out to you. I am in the same boat and the insurance company wins everytime. I have lost some by taking a green tea diet pill. I also drink green tea in the bottles. Rmeoses, What state do you live in? Here in Mn. the county will pay or assit you with schooling.Did you talk to the school about applying for grants? There are free grants out there ...even from the government that will pay for your schooling. I will try and get someof those for you and I will email it to you. Carrie

I cannot believe that not one person has offered to help this mother out in anyway. I understand people are leary of donating. I will give you any and all the information needed to show this is a valid need. I am going to go get the links and pictures from the accident off the newspaper website and post it for all to see(Blood,guts and all.) Not everyone is asking for help is out to scam you. Where is our compassion....faith...empathy for others?Shame on you !

Dear SoulLite, You are definately and Angel is disguise. Time and effort you must have took to assit others is amazing and truely appreicated. When reading your page....It reminded me what Christmas was all about. It is not the gifts that matter but what you can give to each other.
